Health Reports contains three types of articles: Research Articles, Health Matters, and Methodological Insights.

Research Articles

Research Articles present an in-depth analysis of a research question or hypothesis.
Research Articles undergo double-blind peer review.

Recent Research Articles include:

  • Cancer prevalence in the Canadian Population
  • The natural history of health-related quality of life: A 10-year cohort study
  • Income and psychological distress: The role of the social environment

Methodological Insights

Methodological Insights explore issues such as data quality, response bias, and sampling error. They are intended for the benefit of and discussion among other researchers and data users. Like Research Articles, Methodological Insights undergo double-blind peer review.

Recent Methodological Insights include:

  • Estimates of obesity based on self-report versus direct measures
  • Under-reporting of energy intake in the Canadian Community Health Survey
  • Combining cycles of the Canadian Community Health Survey

Health Matters

Health Matters are short, descriptive reports.

Recent Health Matters include:

  • Beverage consumption of children and teens
  • Motor vehicle accident deaths 1979 to 2004
