This publication presents a timely picture of employment, earnings and hours .The tabulations focus on monthly labour market information and some historical data series. The program provides data for over 200 industries on the total number of paid employees, earnings and hours for Canada, provinces and territories. The estimates are presented as weekly estimates and annual averages are also compiled.

The survey and the methodology used in the processing of the data from which catalogue no. 72-002-XIB is produced have changed in recent years. These data are subject to annual revision policies which may render previously published data no longer valid. Revised historical data remains available in the annual publication Annual estimates of employment, earnings and hours (cat. no. 72F0023XIB), or CANSIM.
