The Geography Division of Statistics Canada processed the municipal changes on the interim list that are based on information received through provincial/territorial gazettes, letters patent, and orders-in-council. The interim list may or may not include all those that have occurred within the given time period.

This summary version of the Interim List of Changes to Municipal Boundaries, Status, and Names contains all changes which have occurred between January 2, 2001 and January 1, 2006.
