Users should note that, depending on the area under study, the data presented for North American Indians may be more affected than most by the incomplete enumeration of certain Indian Reserves and Indian Settlements. In the 1996 Census, a total of 77 Indian Reserves and Indian Settlements were incompletely enumerated. The populations of these 77 communities are not included in the Census counts

(2)

Includes those with registered Indian and/or Band member response without self-reported Aboriginal response.

This table contains data selected from Catalogue No. 93F0025XDB96002 in the Nation Series.
