Tuesday, June 19, 2001 Small area retail trade estimates database1998The 1998 small area retail trade estimates for sales and the number of locations are now available by 1980 Standard Industrial Classification codes and by postal code. For urban Canada Post delivery areas, the estimates are available at the Forward Sortation Area level - the first three digits of the postal code. For rural areas, estimates are available at the six-digit postal code level. Within these geographic areas, estimates by type of retailer are available. Data are available at the two- and three-digit level of industrial detail, subject to confidentiality.
