Thursday, August 16, 2001 Steel primary formsWeek ending August 11, 2001 (preliminary)Steel primary forms production for the week ending August 11, 2001 totalled 288 442 metric tonnes, up 14.8% from 251 293 tonnes a week earlier and down 10.3% from 321 422 tonnes a year earlier. The year-to-date total at the end of the reference week was 9 199 956 tonnes, a 12.4 % decrease compared with 10 502 508 tonnes produced in the same period of 2000.
