Tuesday, November 26, 2002 Particleboard, oriented strandboard and fibreboardSeptember 2002Oriented strandboard production in September totalled 705 166 cubic metres, down 0.2% from 706 816 cubic metres in September 2001. Particleboard production reached 234 833 cubic metres, an increase of 0.8% from 232 992 cubic metres in September 2001. Fibreboard production totalled 91 712 cubic metres, down 7.3% from 98 980 cubic metres in September 2001. Year-to-date production of oriented strandboard at the end of September totalled 6 250 308 cubic metres, a 5.7% increase from 5 911 171 cubic metres in the same period of 2001. Particleboard production reached 2 211 977 cubic metres, up 2.8% from 2 151 433 cubic metres in the same period of 2001. Year-to-date fibreboard production reached 759 878 cubic metres, down 2.6% from 780 547 cubic metres in the same period of 2001. Available on CANSIM: table 303-0002.
