Thursday, April 1, 2004 Annual survey of water carriers2002In 2002, 104 for-hire marine carriers earned an income of $90 million on revenues of $2.3 billion. Total revenues earned by these carriers were up by 1.2% from 2001, while expenses increased 3.7%. The for-hire sector carriers recorded $1.7 billion in liabilities against assets totalling $2.5 billion. Government carriers had revenues of $703 million and expenditures of $773 million in 2002 with reported assets of $1.0 billion. Definitions, data sources and methods: numéro d'enquête 2753.
