Tuesday, August 17, 2004 Production and value of ranch-raised pelts2003 (preliminary)Ranchers who raise fox and mink enjoyed strong growth in sales in 2003. They sold $77.5 million in pelts, up 55.3% from 2002. The gain was partly caused by rising prices for pelts. The number of ranch-raised pelts sold increased to levels not seen since the mid-1980s.
