Canadian international merchandise trade, August 2004 
Canada's merchandise trade surplus rebounded in August to the second highest level in three and a half years as imports fell at a faster rate than exports. Exports fell 0.4% while imports were down 4.4%.

New motor vehicle sales, August 2004
New motor vehicle sales slipped 1.2% in August, eating into the gain observed in July.
