Business Conditions Survey: Manufacturing Industries, October 2004 
Building on the momentum of the last nine months, manufacturers' outlook for the fourth quarter of 2004 remained optimistic. Manufacturers anticipated further improvements for production and employment in the coming quarter, while they were very satisfied with the current level of orders received.

Industrial product and raw materials price indexes, September 2004
Prices that manufacturers received for their goods at the plant gate rose again in September compared with the same month last year, but at a weaker pace than in the previous four months. At the same time, the cost of raw materials accelerated for the seventh month in a row.
