Steel primary forms production for the week ending March 18 totalled 300 095 metric tonnes, up 0.2% from 299 347 tonnes a week earlier and down 2.2% from 306 835 tonnes in the same week of 2005. The year-to-date total as of March 18 was 3 263 641 tonnes, down 5.9% from 3 467 604 tonnes in the same period of 2005. Definitions, data sources and methods: survey number 2131.
