Steel primary forms production for the week ending March 25 totalled 297 845 metric tonnes, down 0.7% from 300 095 tonnes a week earlier and up 6.3% from 280 323 tonnes in the same week of 2005. The year-to-date total as of March 25 was 3 561 487 tonnes, down 5.0% from 3 747 927 tonnes in the same period of 2005. Definitions, data sources and methods: survey number 2131.
