Canada's international transactions in securities, December 2007
Non-residents invested $1.2 billion in Canadian securities in December, largely equities. Meanwhile, Canadian investors acquired $1.9 billion worth of foreign securities, adding equities and further reducing debt instruments.
Study: Firearms and violent crime, 2006
The 2006 rate of violent crime involving the use of firearms in Canada remained stable for the fourth consecutive year. However, police-reported data show that among young people aged 12 to 17, the use of guns in violent crime increased.
