More Canadians used the Internet to purchase goods and services in 2007, placing almost $12.8 billion worth of orders, up 61% from 2005.
Environmental protection expenditures by businesses, 2006
Canada's oil and gas extraction industry spent $2.8 billion to protect the environment in 2006, more than any other industry. It accounted for nearly one-third of the $8.6 billion total that businesses operating in Canada spent on environmental protection.
