Combined ridership and revenue levels for 10 of Canada's largest urban transit properties rose in September compared with September 2008.
These 10 companies represent about 80% of total urban transit across the country.
Ridership levels increased 0.6% compared with the same month a year earlier to 135.8 million passenger trips in September.
The rise in ridership pushed revenue (excluding subsidies) up 3.4% from September 2008 to $242.3 million.
