In 2013, the number of take-offs and landings recorded at 137 Canadian airports without air traffic control towers was 640,608 movements.

Overall, seven airports recorded more than 20,000 take-offs and landings each. These airports—Goose Bay, Newfoundland and Labrador (32,119 movements), Peterborough, Ontario (30,162), Moosonee, Ontario (26,847), Red Lake, Ontario (24,288), Barrie-Orillia-Lake Simcoe Regional, Ontario (22,583), Comox, British Columbia (20,513) and Trois-Rivières, Quebec (20,374)—accounted for 28% of the movements during the year.
