The immigrant admission category refers to the category under which immigrants are admitted to Canada by immigration authorities. For a more detailed description of immigrant admission categories, consult the Help centre page of the Citizenship and Immigration Canada website: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/glossary.asp.
2.
The economic class consists of business class (entrepreneurs, self-employed and investors), skilled workers, provincial/territorial nominees, Canadian experience class, and live-in caregivers.

'Other immigrants' include those under backlog clearance and administrative review programs, humanitarian and compassionate cases, other humanitarian and compassionate cases outside the family class / public policy, and other immigrants not included elsewhere.
