Farm product prices, June 2015

Prices received by farmers in June for grains, oilseeds, specialty crops, cattle, hogs, poultry, eggs and dairy products are now available.

The June Ontario hogs price was $91.50 per hundredweight, up 10.4% from May, but down 21.2% from June 2014 when the price was $116.09.

The Manitoba canola price in June was $478.61 per tonne, up 2.5% from May and up 4.1% from June 2014 when the price was $459.87.

Farm commodity prices are now available in CANSIM. Prices for over 35 commodities are available by province, with some series going back 35 years. Data on prices are extracted from administrative files and derived from Statistics Canada surveys.
