The paper, Natural resource wealth statistics in the National Balance Sheet Accounts, is now available.
This paper outlines the methodology used to integrate the value of selected natural resource assets into the quarterly national balance sheet accounts. It responds to recommendations in the 2008 System of National Accounts—the revised international standard for national accounting—to include these values in the balance sheet. The addition of these asset values will increase and improve measures of sectoral net worth.
