Canadian manufacturers produced 1.9 billion cigarettes in October, down 5.4% from September. Cigarette production increased 4.0% from the same month a year earlier.
The total number of cigarettes sold in October decreased 8.7% from September to 1.7 billion, and was down 4.3% from October 2014.
