All four of the informatics professional services price indexes (IPSPI) increased in 2014 compared with 2013. The price index for Internet publishing, broadcasting and web search portals (+6.1%) posted the largest gain, followed by the data processing, hosting and related services index (+2.1%).
The software publishing services prices index as well as the computer systems design and related services prices index both increased 0.6% from the previous year.
The IPSPI are being redesigned for implementation in 2017. For information on the current definitions, data sources, and methods, please see the survey methodology page. Note to readers
The informatics professional services price indexes (IPSPI) are annual surveys that collect financial, wage and contractor fee information to measure price movements in the informatics professional services at the national level.
Revisions to the previous year's estimates are based on data submissions and updated sample weights. The indexes are not seasonally adjusted.
Next release
The IPSPI for 2015 will be released in November 2016.
