Cement manufacturers produced 0.52 million tonnes of cement products in February, up 5.5% from January and up 5.3% from February 2015.
Shipments of domestic cement rose 0.7% from January to 0.47 million tonnes. Compared with February 2015, shipments of domestic cement were up 3.5%.
Including imports, shipments increased 4.2% to 0.52 million tonnes in February, a gain of 9.0% from the same month a year earlier.

The Cement Survey measures, on a monthly basis, the quantities of domestic cement that are produced and shipped by manufacturers. The survey also measures the geographic distribution of sales of domestic and imported cement as well as the quantity of exported cement.
