Egg production increased 7.1% from the same month a year earlier to 61.6 million dozen in February.
Placements of hatchery chicks on farms increased 0.8% to 63.1 million birds in March compared with the same month a year earlier.
Stocks of frozen poultry meat in cold storage on April 1 were up 33.1% from the same date a year earlier to 80 487 tonnes.
