Canadian manufacturers produced 1.9 billion cigarettes in April, up 2.3% from March. Cigarette production decreased 8.1% from the same month a year earlier.
The total number of cigarettes sold in April decreased 6.9% from March to 1.6 billion, and was down 3.4% from April 2015.
