The public use microdata file for the 2014 General Social Survey (GSS) is now available.
The main objective of the 2014 GSS on Canadians' safety (victimization) was to better understand how Canadians perceive crime and the justice system. It also allowed collection of information on their experiences of victimization. The survey covered individuals aged 15 years and older living in private households in the provinces.
The initial results from the 2014 GSS on Canadians' safety (victimization) were released in The Daily on November 23, 2015.
Data from the 2014 GSS were also featured in the Juristat article, "Family violence in Canada: A statistical profile, 2014" (), in the section, " 85-002-XTrends in self-reported spousal violence in Canada, 2014."

Results from the survey were also released in the articles, "Public confidence in Canadian institutions, 2013 and 2014" and "Canadians' perceptions of neighbourhood disorder, 2014," as part of the publication, Spotlight on Canadians: Results from the General Social Survey (). 89-652-X
