Prices received by farmers in August for grains, oilseeds, specialty crops, potatoes, cattle, hogs, poultry, eggs and dairy products are now available.
The price of slaughter cattle in Saskatchewan was $117.98 per hundredweight in August, up 4.2% from July, but down 25.0% from August 2015, when the price was $157.29.
The price of grain corn in Quebec was $204.00 per tonne in August, down 1.9% from July and down 11.5% from August 2015, when the price was $230.46.

Farm commodity prices are now available in CANSIM. The price of over 35 commodities is available by province, with some data series going back 35 years. Price data are extracted from administrative files and derived from Statistics Canada surveys.
