Cement manufacturers produced 1.23 million tonnes of cement products in September, up 1.4% from August but down 1.0% from September 2015.
Shipments of domestic cement increased 2.5% from August to 1.25 million tonnes in September, but were down 5.7% from the same month a year earlier.
Including imports, shipments totalled 1.33 million metric tonnes in September, up 0.2% from the previous month but down 5.0% from the same month a year earlier.

The Cement Survey measures, on a monthly basis, the quantities of domestic cement that are produced and shipped by manufacturers. The survey also measures the geographic distribution of sales of domestic and imported cement, as well as the quantity of exported cement.
