The Couriers and Messengers Services Price Index (CMSPI) increased 0.4% in December. The couriers component rose 0.6%, while the local messengers and local delivery component decreased 0.2%.
Year-over-year change
The CMSPI rose 4.1% in December compared with the same month a year earlier. The couriers component increased 5.1%, while the local messengers and local delivery component declined 0.6%.

The Couriers and Messengers Services Price Index is a monthly index that measures the price changes for courier and messenger services provided by long- and short-distance delivery companies to Canadian-based business clients.
Data are available at the Canada level only.
With each release, data for the previous six months may have been revised. The index is not seasonally adjusted.
