Egg production rose 5.2% from January 2016 to 64.4 million dozen in January 2017.
In February 2017, placements of hatchery chicks on farms decreased 0.2% compared with February 2016 to 59.0 million birds.
Stocks of frozen poultry meat in cold storage on March 1, 2017 decreased 1.5% from March 1, 2016 to 77 468 tonnes.
