Portraits of official-language minorities in the agricultural and agri-food sectors

Released: 2017-07-12

Four statistical portraits of official-language minorities in the agricultural and agri-food sectors are now available on the Ethnicity, Language and Immigration Thematic Series (Catalogue number89-657-X) page.

Using data from the 2011 National Household Survey and the 2011 Census of Agriculture, these descriptive documents provide a portrait of official-language minorities in the agricultural and agri-food sectors in Canada's four regions: the Atlantic Region (Newfoundland and Labrador, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick); Quebec; Ontario; and Western Canada (Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia).

These portraits compare the populations of official-language minority workers in the agricultural and agri-food sectors with populations of workers belonging to other language groups.
