Stocks of frozen and chilled meats, July 2017
Stocks of frozen and chilled meats in cold storage totalled 114 355 tonnes in July, up 12.1% from the same month a year earlier.
Stocks of frozen beef meats decreased 8.9% in July, while stocks of frozen pork meats were up 24.8% compared with July 2016.
Note to readers
This release contains data on stock holdings for various cuts of pork, beef, veal, mutton and lamb, and fancy meats at the national level, as well as total red meats at the regional level. This release also contains the holdings of imported meat at the national level for the same periods.
Data on stocks of frozen and chilled meats, domestic and imported, have been revised back to April 2015. This is the result of revisions to survey data. Details are available upon request.
