Egg production rose 3.8% from June 2016 to 64.3 million dozen in June.
Placement of hatchery chicks on farms was largely unchanged from July 2016 at 63.6 million birds in July.
Stocks of frozen poultry meat in cold storage decreased 9.2% from August 1, 2016, to 88 588 tonnes on August 1, 2017.
