Commercial Rents Services Price Index, second quarter 2017
The Commercial Rents Services Price Index rose 0.1% in the second quarter, following a 0.3% decline the previous quarter. The increase was attributable to higher average rents for industrial and office buildings.
The index was up 0.4% in the second quarter compared with the same quarter of 2016.
Note to readers
The Commercial Rents Services Price Index (CRSPI) is a monthly index, which is disseminated on a quarterly basis. Prices collected are average rents measured in price per square foot for a sample of commercial buildings.
With each release, data for the previous quarter may be revised. The series is also subject to an annual revision with the release of second quarter data for the following reference year.
The CRSPI is not seasonally adjusted and is available at the Canada level only.
