Prices received by farmers in October for grains, oilseeds, specialty crops, potatoes, cattle, hogs, poultry, eggs and dairy products are now available at the provincial level in CANSIM.
For example, the price of grain corn in Quebec was $196.00 per tonne in October, down 4.4% from September but up 2.6% from October 2016 when the price was $191.00 per tonne.
Meanwhile, the price of feeder cattle in Alberta was $170.65 per hundredweight in October, up 11.9% from September and up 18.1% from October 2016 when the price was $144.50 per hundredweight.

The price of over 35 commodities is available by province, with some data series going back 40 years. Price data are extracted from administrative files and derived from Statistics Canada surveys.
