The Architectural, Engineering and Related Services Price Index (AESPI) rose 0.2% in the third quarter, following a 0.4% increase in the second quarter.

Architectural, Engineering and Related Services Price Index
Prices for the architectural and landscape architectural services increased 0.5% in the third quarter.
Prices for surveying and mapping services rose 0.4%.
Engineering services reported a 0.2% price increase from the second quarter to the third quarter.
The increase in the AESPI over this period could be due to changes in input costs, which was the reason most widely reported by respondents who reported a price change.
Year-over-year change
Year over year, the AESPI rose 0.7% due to higher prices for architectural and landscape architectural services (+2.0%), surveying and mapping services (+1.3%) and engineering services (+0.5%).

The Architectural, Engineering and Related Services Price Index is a quarterly survey that collects information on the prices of architectural, engineering, surveying and mapping services.
With each release, data for the previous quarter may have been revised. Data are also subject to an annual revision with the release of second quarter data of the following reference year. The index is not seasonally adjusted. Data are available at the Canada level only.
