Canadian manufacturers produced 1.2 billion cigarettes in December, down 46.4% from November. Cigarette production decreased 17.6% compared with the same month a year earlier.
Compared with November, the total number of cigarettes sold increased 19.0% to 1.9 billion. This was a decrease of 3.2% compared with December 2016.
