The total supply of creamery butter reached 40 638 tonnes in February, up 61.0% from February 2017.

In February, 10 393 tonnes of creamery butter were marketed, of which 1 tonne was exported. Stocks at the end of the month were 30 245 tonnes.

Production of butterfat reached 30 166 tonnes in February, up 6.5% from February 2017. This marks the 38th consecutive month showing year-over-year increases of butterfat production.

Total cash receipts from milk and cream sold off farms totalled $525.4 million in February, up 2.4% from the same month last year.
