OTTAWA — Statistics Canada is pleased to announce that May 10 is Census Day.

The information collected during the census provides a snapshot of the country on May 10. Statistics Canada encourages everyone to complete the census questionnaire by Census Day.

If you haven’t completed your census yet, it’s not too late. Please submit your completed questionnaire as soon as possible. Remember that your answers to the census questions should reflect your household situation on May 10, 2016.

Census information is important for all communities and is vital for planning services such as child care, schooling, hospitals, housing, and skills training for employment.

In addition to English and French, the census questions can be found on the census website in 11 ethnic languages and 11 Aboriginal languages.
