Human Activity and the Environment 2015: The changing landscape of Canadian metropolitan areas provides an analysis of land cover and land use change in Canada's largest urbanized areas. The report includes maps for Canada's 33 census metropolitan areas (CMAs) for the years 1971, 1991, 2001 and 2011. Data are available for the CMA and CMA–ecosystem.Footnote 1

Spatial data files (ArcGIS®, file extension: .shp), as well as the relevant boundary files and metadata can be downloaded for each CMA. The link to the ZIP file is located below each map.
