    This publication examines the growth in employment for graduates from various disciplines, trends in the supply of graduates and labour market conditions (salary and unemployment rates) for graduates in selected disciplines in 1978 and 1984. It also reviews employment trends in the economy as a whole between 1975 and 1984 and places changes in labour market conditions for graduates within this context. The study is intended to inform the public and contribute to a better understanding of issues by providing systematic quantitative analysis of changing labour market conditions. Major variables in this report include number of graduates by field, employment and salary, and unemployment statistics on graduates by field of study, and employment trends by occupation and industry for Canada and in some cases Canada excluding Quebec. This publication includes 14 tables and 32 charts.
