Examine the Canada at a Glance booklet or see its online version.
(From Learning resources, under Quick links, click on Canada at a Glance and follow instructions to view online.)
Look at the table of contents on the first page (or in the left-hand navigation bar of the online version) and write down three subjects that interest you.
For one of the subjects you have identified, select one table of data.
Prepare a graph or chart (line, bar, pie) that illustrates these data visually for the major categories. Try the on-line graphing tool in Statistics: Power from Data!
(From Learning resources, click on Statistics: Power from Data! and then, under Graph types, click on Make a graph!)
Explain why the type of graph you used is the most appropriate method for displaying data.
(Tip: To help answer this question, see the summary of the Graph types section in Statistics: Power from Data!)
Describe in words the highlights or trends in the data.
Predict how the data will change over the next 10 years.
B. Using the Justice data:

What type of crime has increased the most in the last time period?
What percent of the total criminal code offences are:
homicides?
assault?
break and enters?
