Emergency response plan

Overview

The students will learn how to handle an emergency situation by finding a community that has been hit by disaster. How will they help the areas in need? What measures should be taken first to ensure survival and safety?

Classroom instructions

  1. Have students identify highways where travel was most difficult.
  2. Have students identify centres between which travel was most difficult.
  3. Have students discuss their response where they would focus their efforts, what efforts and identify the nature of their response.
