Task

Using the information below, prepare a circle graph to illustrate the ethnic origins of Canada's population.

  1. Make list of the groups by % from highest to lowest.
  2. Convert the % for each group to degrees.
    Formula example: 10%= 10/100 x 360 degrees = 36 degrees
  3. Construct a circle graph using your compass and protractor to measure the angles.
  4. Create and answer two questions for your classmates that will help them understand what this circle graph is showing them and why (reasons for) Canada has such a diverse cultural make-up.
