Jobless rate edges up

Canada’s unemployment rate edged up from 7.4% to 7.5% in March as the number of people working slipped for the second consecutive month.    more >>


Housing intentions slip again

Construction intentions in Canada’s housing sector fell for the second consecutive month in February. However, the decline was offset by a strong rebound in proposed non-residential projects.    more >>


Raw materials cheaper

Raw materials cost Canada’s manufacturers 7.4% less in February than they did in the same month a year earlier, the result of much lower prices for mineral fuels.    more >>
