Economic growth continues

Canada’s economic output expanded again in May, following a slight advance in April. The gross domestic product grew 0.3%, with repeat strong performances from the oil and gas, mining and housing sectors.    more >>


Sales up for retailers

Consumer spending in retail stores was back up in May after slumping for the first time this year in April. Retail sales rose 0.5% from April.    more >>


Teens tune out radio

Canadians spent less time listening to radio in 2003, and adolescents were least likely to tune in. Overall, Canadians listened to the radio an average of 19.5 hours per week, one hour less than in the fall of 1999.    more >>
