Inflation rate eases

rate of inflation, as measured by the Consumer Price Index, slowed

Cattlemen in crisis
This week’s Spotlight is on the crisis for Canadian cattlemen,
a little over a year after the discovery of mad cow disease prompted
the United States and
other nations to restrict cattle and beef imports. The Canadian cattle
herd has hit a record 16.8 million head, and prices for all cattle
