Statistics Canada halts publication of Infomat

STATISTICS CANADA will publish its last issue of Infomat, its weekly summary of economic and social news, on June 28, 2005. Infomat’s declining subscriber base no longer justifies producing the publication.

Subscribers will be refunded according to the method of payment used at the time of the purchase.

To keep up to date with Statistics Canada’s news releases, clients are invited to access The Daily, Statistics Canada’s official release bulletin, for free highlights of newly released economic and social information.  It can be accessed through (RSS) feeds.

RSS allows you to stay up to date on subjects of your choice by having new releases  posted on our website delivered automatically upon release to your desktop using your preferred ‘news reader’ software.

For more information, click on the above link or contact Jacques Lefebvre (613-951-7220), Communications and Library Services Division.
