Chart 2. But over half of women in Wave 1 and in Generation X had left home by age 20.

This line graph illustrates the cumulative probabilities that female Wave 1 Boomers and Generation Xers have left the parental home for the first time by age 35. The lines rise steeply from 0 at age 15 to show that about three-quarters of each cohort would have left home by their early to mid-20s. See Appendix for exact numbers by year and cohort.
