Although much less computationally intensive than the bootstrap approach, the Taylor linear approximation generally yields variances that are slightly higher than the true variances. In other words, significance may be slightly understated in this study. On the other hand, if results are found to be statistically significant, they are almost certainly statistically significant in actual fact.
